The journey to the state boys basketball tournament in Madison is extra meaningful for a Denmark senior.
Five years ago Brady Jens’ dad had a heart attack in the stands at the seventh grade state basketball tournament. He later died.
Jens says since then he’s formed a strong bond with his teammates. He says they helped him through tough times, and it’s strengthened their relationship on and off the court.
Jens says he wants to show other people they can make it through whatever’s going on in their lives.
The Denmark Vikings play tomorrow afternoon in their first state tournament appearance in 34 years.
