The owners of Author’s Kitchen and Bar in downtown Appleton say their dreams came crumbling down in flames in a matter of hours.
They posted on Facebook that they’re shocked, devastated, and filled with sadness.
Firefighters believe the building at the corner of N. Appleton and Washington streets is a total loss, after an overnight fire.
The owners say their thoughts go out to the people from the upstairs apartments. The restaurant opened about eight months ago, and they thanked their customers.
