A lawmaker from Appleton says Governor Evers’ proposal to let illegal immigrants get driver’s licenses is a good idea.
Democrat Rep. Amanda Stuck believes it’ll make police officers’ jobs easier. She says some local police, including Appleton’s chief, supports the proposal. She says they’d rather have a way of identifying someone if they need to.
Stuck says illegal immigrants could also get car insurance if they have a license and that could make everyone safer.
