Winter is winding down and it looks like pothole season is just beginning.
Chris Pirlot with the Green Bay Department of Public Works says the regular freeze and thaw cycles that transition winter to spring feels worse this year.
He says many potholes have been fixed but it seems just temporary.
He adds crews get called back an hour later because the material didn’t work.
He says they’re trying something new and turning to limestone.
He believes limestone could cure as it gets wet and will hopefully last longer.
