Kaukauna police are in the early stages of raising money for a new drug…and tracking dog.
The department’s current K-9, Rocko, has been on the job for two or three years.
Asst. Chief Jamie Graff says they want second dog to work on a different shift. He says Rocko is always busy, including helping neighboring departments.
Graff says a group of community members is working on a fundraising plan. He hopes to have enough money for a new dog in about a year.
He says they thought it would take them 1-1/2 years to raise money to buy Rocko, but it only took nine months.
