Experts are warning people with homes affected by recent floods to watch out for storm chasers.
They’re scammers that go door-to-door claiming to help with water damage.
Susan Bach is with the Better Business Bureau. She says they’ll sometimes tell people they’ll give them a low price if they sign up and pay that day.
Bach says you should ask for ID if someone shows up at your door and don’t pay with cash upfront. She believes it’s also a good idea to shop around and get estimates from several local companies.
