There’s a proposal to help some first-offense drunk drivers remove their arrest from their record.
Republican Sen. Andre Jacque of De Pere says their blood-alcohol level would have to be below 0.15 and no one could’ve gotten hurt. He says they’d need to use an ignition interlock device or similar equipment for at least six months.
Jacque believes people can have a tougher time finding a job, if they have an OWI conviction on their record. He’s looking for lawmakers to co-sponsor the bill.
