A major new senior-living development could be going up on the west side of Oshkosh.
Heritage Senior Living is looking to build 225 units along Witzel Avenue just west of I-41.
Development Director Mark Hammond says the complex would serve a wide range of retirees starting with an independent living area. He says that’s an apartment where they provide house keeping, meals, and outings. Assisted living also has a care component, and enhanced assisted living bridges the gap between assisted living and skilled nursing.
There would also be services for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. Heritage is looking at three phases of development with additional units in the future.
The plan goes to the Oshkosh common council next month.
