While cars were slamming into each other in the massive I-41 pileup last month, a plow driver was trying to keep other drivers from crashing.
Winnebago County Executive Mark Harris says Chris Williams was in the Neenah area, when he heard what was happening.
He says Williams put out the wings of his plow, and started driving in an “S” pattern, so drivers couldn’t pass him. He says Williams also slowed down, as he got closer to the crash scene.
Harris jokes that at first, drivers stuck behind Williams likely wondered what he was doing. He thinks some also had some choice words about it.
