An expert with the American Lung Association says the decisions by Appleton and Grand Chute to include e-cigarettes in their smoking bans is a trend.
Kathy Drea says 11 states already include vaping in their smoke-free laws and scores of other communities have done the same. She hopes the new rules in the Fox Cities can create some momentum. She says it works well if communities pass laws, and then it moves to the state level.
The FDA believes the use of e-cigarettes by teens is at an epidemic level.
