One buck and four does live in a gated area inside Lakeside Park. They’ve eaten away the grass over time.
Park Tradesman Jeff Atkinson says people come year-round to see the deer. He says they want it to look like the deer belong in the park. He says if the deer are happy people will be happy as well.
Crews recently spread the seeds of clove, alfalfa, and other plants inside the fence. They expect them to bloom sometime between mid-May and June.
