Green Bay is set to join other communities in banning vaping products for minors.
The city’s Protection and Policy Committee voted unanimously yesterday to make it illegal for minors to buy or possess vape products and prohibits minors from vaping in public.
This includes vape liquids that don’t contain nicotine.
The proposal goes to the city council.
The law is modeled after similar measures passed in Neenah and Appleton.
Little Chute also bans vape products for minors.
Other local communities are considering similar laws.
Last week Grand Chute and Appleton passed laws that prohibit vaping for everyone, in public places like bars and restaurants.
