The owners of a small dairy farm near Fremont are asking for help.
The dairy industry in the state is struggling and over 300 farms stopped milking last year.
Mary Rieckmann and her husband John own about 50 cows. She says the feed prices don’t go down, but milk prices are hitting rock bottom.
John’s family bought the land in the 1800s. He says he’s the fourth generation to own the property.
The community started a Go Fund Me for the Rieckmann family. They’re using the money for things like repairs, vet bills, and feed for the animals.
