A youth baseball complex in Harrison will not move forward.
The village board won’t give Kaukauna Youth Baseball an extra $950,000. Members are also pulling the $1 million that they had already pledged.
Village Administrator Travis Parish estimates about 70 people went to a meeting last night, and most didn’t want to spend the extra money.
The village bought the 20 acres of land for the complex for $450,000. Parish says it’s up to the board to decide what to do with it. He believes the price for the land was good, and the location has a lot of potential for development.
Kaukauna Youth Baseball raised nearly $1.9 million for the project, but fell short of its goal.
