There’s a race for mayor in Oshkosh next Tuesday between the current mayor and the deputy.
Mayor Steve Cummings is running for a third, two-year term. Deputy Mayor Lori Palmeri is challenging him.
Palmeri says creating more affordable housing in the city should be a focus.
There are some big-box stores along I-41 that are empty, and Palmeri believes there are ways to protect against more of them in development agreements for any new retail projects. She wants to have contingencies in place, if a new store would go under.
