Voters in the Neenah school district will decide a big referendum tomorrow.
The school board is asking for almost $130,000 for projects at a variety of schools. About $84 million would go toward a new building to replace Shattuck Middle School. Superintendent Mary Pfeiffer says it’s a better move to go that route. She says it just didn’t make fiscal sense to renovate.
$31 million would be spent on projects at every elementary school. If voters approve the referendum property taxes would go up by $167 for every $100,000 of value.
