It could be about two weeks before there’s a decision on a recount for the state Supreme Court race.
Judge Brian Hagedorn leads Judge Lisa Neubauer by less than 6,000 votes out of more than 1.2 million cast.
State Elections Commission spokesman Reid Magney says counties have until Friday, April 12th to finish reviewing the vote totals. He says people double-check things to make sure the numbers add up, before they verify the final results.
Once that’s done, Magney says the losing candidate would have three business days to decide whether to have a recount.
While the race is nonpartisan, if the results hold up, Hagedorn would give conservatives a 5-to-2 advantage on the court.
