For the second straight time, Outagamie County’s leader didn’t face a challenger in his re-election bid.
County Executive Tom Nelson won another four-year term.
He says he’s been studying different options to reduce health care costs. That includes possibly setting up a wellness program and a stand-alone clinic for county workers.
Nelson also wants to increase the economic impact of the Appleton International Airport to $1 billion over the next four years. In the past eight years, the total has nearly doubled to around $750 million.
