A proposal to offer new state incentives to paper companies is back.
Rep. Amanda Stuck wants to create what’s called the Papermaker Fund. The Appleton Democrat says it would help paper companies modernize, and convert their mills to produce more in-demand types of paper.
Stuck and Democratic Sen. Dave Hansen of Green Bay are pushing the bill. Majority Republicans in the Legislature wouldn’t consider it last session.
