Over 500 Special Olympic athletes are coming to Oshkosh this weekend for an annual basketball tournament.
Special Olympics spokesman Tommy Jaime says they’ve partnered with UW-Oshkosh for more than 40 years. He believes it’s an amazing community event, and it shows the power of inclusion. He says the athletes don’t have disabilities, but great abilities.
The free weekend event is at the UW-Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center. It starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, and at 8 a.m. Sunday.
