The city of Menasha is taking steps to reinvest in neighborhoods through what’s being called the Strong Neighborhoods Menasha Housing Initiative.
City leaders say the average home in Menasha is roughly 53 years old.
Director of community development Sam Schroeder says the plan will allow homeowners and first time home buyers to take advantage of grants and loans to give their property a face-lift.
Roughly $700,000 is set aside for the program to run over the next three to five years.
Money will be available in January of next year.
