A proposal to name the I-41 interchange with Highway 10-441 after a former state senator is heading to Governor Evers’ desk.
The Assembly and Senate unanimously agreed to call it the “Michael Ellis Memorial Interchange.” Ellis was a longtime Republican lawmaker from Neenah and he died last year.
Republican Sen. Rob Cowles is from Allouez. He says it’s fitting because Ellis spent a lot of time pushing for the interchange and the overall Highway 441 expansion project.
