Health care workers are urging people in the state to get vaccinated for Hepatitis A after an outbreak in Illinois.
There aren’t a lot of cases in Wisconsin right now but doctors are concerned.
Baycare Clinic Doctor Ryan Murphy says it’s a viral infection in the liver. He says the liver gets swollen and people develop symptoms including nausea and yellowing of the eyes.
There isn’t a cure for Hepatitis A. Murphy says they treat the symptoms until the virus goes away on its own.
