Hundreds turned out last night to raise money for the medical care of a Green Bay police K-9 stabbed by a suspect Sunday.
Veterinarians say Pyro is becoming more active and engaged.
The fundraiser was held in Suamico at the Bark and Brew.
The non-profit Bark N Blue raised nearly $40,000 dollars for the dog and the group sponsored last night’s event.
Fox Valley Animal Referral Center specialist Doctor Lisa Peters says Pyro still has a feeding tube in place. She says they want to make sure he can eat properly.
She explains he has a lot of damage to underlying tissue and has a ways to go in recovery.
