Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson is visiting the southern border in the El Paso area today and tomorrow.
Johnson will talk with U.S. Customs and Border patrol officials. The trip comes after reports of record numbers of migrant families crossing the southwest border in the past several months.
Johnson says he’ll get a “firsthand look at the growing humanitarian and national security crisis.”
