Outagamie County jail officials say the pavement is sinking in the parking lot of their downtown facility.
They believe this is related to the construction of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.
County maintenance manager Paul Farrell says the slope behind the jail has always had issues with settling but the problem has gotten worse.
Officials with Miron Construction, who built the exhibition center, are saying they will fix the problem.
But the county will likely spend between $20,000 and $25,000 to repair a shift in elevation at the parking lot.
An official with Lawrence University says they’ve been dealing with settling issues on their bluff property for decades.
