A Neenah teenager accused of killing his grandparents in Grand Chute is facing two counts of murder.
Seventeen-year-old Alexander Kraus made his first court appearance in Outagamie County this afternoon. Court Commissioner Brian Figy set Kraus’ bond at $2 million.
Kraus showed little to no emotion during the hearing, and he kept his head down.
Dennis and Letha Kraus were found dead in their Grand Chute home last Sunday.
Prosecutors say Kraus had a folder in a backpack, with several pages of typed-out plans for killing them. They say he admitted shooting his grandparents with a shotgun, after staying overnight at their house on Saturday night.
Police say he also was planning an attack at Neenah High School yesterday.
Kraus will be back in court on June 11th for a preliminary hearing. He faces life in prison, if he’s convicted.
