A judge is ordering a competency exam for the suspect in the stabbing of Green Bay K-9 Pyro.
30-year-old Sai Vang was in Brown County court this morning. His preliminary hearing is being delayed to determine whether he’s mentally fit to stand trial.
Police say they were told Vang is a schizophrenic when they went to a home on Western Avenue, on the city’s west side, earlier this month. They say Vang threatened to shoot his father, and then police.
Prosecutors say Vang stabbed Pyro in the neck area.
