Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich is starting his first week on the job.
He replaced long-running former Mayor Jim Schmitt.
Genrich plans to keep some personnel from the previous administration including Chief of Staff Celestine Jeffries. He says she has experience and expertise, and is respected by the community. He says it’s to the benefit of both him and the community to keep her on staff.
Genrich also plans to let the department heads finish the remaining year of their two-year appointments. His first City Council meeting is scheduled for May 7th.
