The Grand Chute licensing committee voted unanimously last night to revoke the license of a motel behind on paying its room tax.
The full board will make the final decision at its meeting next month.
Officials aren’t saying just how much the owners of the Howard Johnson owe.
The motel’s owner was at last night’s meeting and told the committee she was strapped for cash because she borrowed someone money and hadn’t gotten repaid.
She says she will pay up by the end of this month.
Hotels in Kaukauna and Appleton that were also behind on their room tax bills are now paid up.
