A 30-year Easter tradition in Appleton is still going thanks to donors and volunteers.
The annual We Care Easter Meal almost didn’t happen because of funding. People came together and served about 2,500 dinners today.
Ed Rathsack organizes the event. He says it was amazing to see so many new people helping out.
This year a donor also provided about 200 Easter baskets to make the day special for kids.
Rathsack says people are already volunteering for the future We Care Meals Christmas dinner.
