A U.S. Senator from Wisconsin is proposing a bill to create tougher restrictions on asylum applicants at the southern border.
Republican Senator Ron Johnson believes people are taking advantage of the process. He says it’s a growing problem, and unless the country reduces the flow, we will be overrun.
Johnson thinks the preliminary interview needs to weed out more applicants. He says only about 15 percent end up being accepted anyway.
