Drivers will have to slow down along a stretch of West College Avenue in Grand Chute and Greenville.
Outagamie County is lowering the speed limit from 55 miles an hour to 45 between Casaloma Drive and Highway CB. The change takes effect today.
Grand Chute Town Chair Dave Schowalter says the county is going to rebuild that stretch next year. He says they were going to lower it anyway after construction was done. He says they wanted to do it sooner because of the number of accidents happening in the area.
Schowalter says they’ve had a lot of growth in that area and that’s increasing the amount of traffic.
