A study shows the economic impact of Lawrence University on the region is just over $70 million.
President Mark Burstein says students and visitors helped account for more than one-thousand jobs in the Fox Cities. Those workers made more than $44 million in the last fiscal year.
Burstein says the community also benefits from scholarship money. He says $1.44 million went to scholarships for students in the Fox Cities area. He says being able to invest in the future of the area is a part of who they are.
The more than 600 faculty and staff at Lawrence earned almost $30 million in the most recent fiscal year.
