Governor Evers says a Foxconn official is requesting the state reopen negotiations on its deal to build a new plant in Wisconsin.
Evers recounts a conversation in March where the company’s U.S. executive Louis Woo made that request.
Republican leaders in the Legislature says Woo never mentioned that to them in a meeting a few minutes later but Evers insists it happened.
Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation director Mark Hogan says he doesn’t know anything about a request from Foxconn to renegotiate and believes the company is still committed to its plant in Kenohsa County.
