The Brown-Outagamie Bomb Squad now has a smaller robot to evaluate suspicious items.
Brown County Sheriff’s Lt. Chris Knurr says they have a larger robot that’s less mobile, and is too big to access small areas. He says it’s also tough to use the bigger robot inside buildings.
Knurr says the smaller robot will prevent deputies from having to put on protective gear, to check out devices are in places that are now accessible.
Members of the bomb squad are going through training today at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
