Some Appleton officials want to take more time before agreeing to put three new artistic signs in spots leading into the downtown.
Mile of Music co-founder Cory Chisel’s Refuge Foundation for the Arts and Fox Communities Credit Union are offering to pay for them. Local mural artist Chad Brady would design them.
Mayor Tim Hanna thinks they should accept them. He says they put a lot of effort into the project.
One of four-by-nine foot signs would go at the corner of College Avenue and Memorial Drive. The other locations are by the College Avenue and Oneida Skyline bridges.
The city’s municipal services committee could make a decision next month.
