Construction is expected to start today on a stretch of Highway 26 between Oshkosh and Rosendale.
Workers are going to be resurfacing Highway 26 for the next three months. The road will still be open during much of the project but there will be flagging operations. The highway will be shut down for about 12 days at some point so crews can replace three culverts near the I-41 interchange.
Besides the resurfacing, the DOT will also put in rumble strips and wider-paved shoulders. The project is scheduled to be finished by July 19th.
