Fire damage on a house on the far west side of Green Bay is estimated at $75,000.
Crews were called to the home in the 300 block of Westplain Drive around 9 p.m.
Battalion Chief Tony Piontek says the homeowner was trying to put out the fire with a garden hose when they arrived on scene.
He believes the fire started in the attached garage.
He calls damage to the garage and kitchen extensive.
No one was hurt.
The cause is still under investigation.
