Green Bay homeowners along the East River say they’re tired of feeling anxious whenever it rains.
Eliza, Cass and Godell streets were covered in water yesterday morning.
City public works director Steve Grenier says the flooding wasn’t because of heavy rain but because of strong winds blowing up the bay which stops the Fox River from releasing properly.
Neighbors are frustrated that a local lift station that could solve the problem hasn’t worked for years.
Grenier says it’s a matter of money but the pump house is schedule for repair this summer.
Crews were out yesterday using a pump to help remove the standing water.
