Crews are getting ready to open Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay tomorrow.
They’ve spent the past several days checking things like emergency brakes and control panels.
Dawn Crim is with the state’s Safety and Special Services department. She says some of the rides were stored as a whole, and some were taken apart. She says checks for rides stored intact go quicker.
The park director says the only ride that won’t be open tomorrow is the new Big Wheel. It’s a wheelchair-accessible Ferris Wheel. Officials say rain slowed down construction but they hope to have it running soon.
