Students at Omro High School are learning first-hand about the dangers of distracted driving.
Juniors and seniors used the “Arrive Alive” simulator to see what it’s like to be behind the wheel while drunk or texting.
Administrator Mallory McKenzie says kids are still using their phones while driving. She says texting is more socially acceptable than drinking right now, and they want to change that. She says they don’t want kids to touch either while they’re driving.
Distracted driving is the number one cause of deadly car crashes involving teenagers.
