People are talking about their memories of a legendary bar in downtown Oshkosh.
Mabel Murphy’s collapsed during a fire early yesterday morning.
Wendell Morris of Oshkosh stopped by to see what’s left. He says he was in the bar just two weeks ago. He says it’s something people always expected to be on Main Street.
Firefighters were able to save the bar’s sign. They believe the fire started in the apartments next door.
The owner of Mabel Murphy’s was planning a 45th anniversary celebration this weekend. The building dates back to the 1890s.
