Today is the 24th annual Day of Caring hosted by the Oshkosh Area United Way.
Executive Director Mary Ann Dilling says people will work on about 20 different projects around the city. They include painting, yard work, and helping food pantries. She says there are about 170 volunteers from 28 companies helping this year.
Dilling says they also have skills-based volunteering this year. That means someone with specialized training could help a nonprofit in areas like human resources.
Volunteers will be in the community from 8:30 a.m. until noon today.
