Some major projects in Neenah could be delayed.
Mayor Dean Kaufert is asking the city council to remove construction of a new downtown parking ramp, the expansion of the police department, and building a new fire station from the capital improvements plan. He wants to pay for more street improvements next year.
Kaufert thinks the city needs to concentrate on infrastructure and the road system right now.
There are 11 street projects on Kaufert’s list, including S. Green Bay Road and Lakeshore Avenue. He wants to add $4.8 million to next year’s street repair budget to pay for them.
The Neenah city council will consider the changes later this month.
