The leaders of Appleton and Green Bay got a chance to sit down for the first time since they’ve both been on the job.
Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich took office last month. Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna believes they had a great meeting this week.
Genrich took over for longtime Mayor Jim Schmitt. Schmitt spent 16 years in office and he didn’t run for re-election.
Hanna says when different mayors get together they share their experiences. He doesn’t think there are rivalries between mayors or cities because if all cities are doing well so is the state.
