A national food drive saw a nearly 18 percent increase in donations in the Appleton area this year.
Karen Ziemke of the Saint Joseph Food Program in Menasha says the Stamp Out Hunger Drive happened last Saturday. She says the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of food, and they can’t thank everyone enough.
Postal workers picked up donations along their routes. The food is going to local pantries.
