Two proposed developments in downtown Appleton check off two boxes on the city’s vision for the College Avenue area.
One project would replace a former bank next to the History Museum at the Castle with a six-story building with 28 apartments.
Another would tear down three properties behind Heid Music and build multi-family housing.
Monica Stage is the city’s deputy community development director. She says the city committed to bringing more residential units downtown with a specific focus north of College Avenue.
The city is proposing to provide TIF incentives for both projects. The community and economic development committee will talk about the plans on Wednesday.
