U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin wants to make it easier for people to take care of their elderly family members at home.
A proposal would offer tax credits to primary home caregivers. The Madison Democrat says people can find the job overwhelming and a significant financial burden.
Baldwin says about 575,000 people in the state help care for a loved one at home. The bill would let them claim up to $3,000 in tax credits for out-of-pocket costs.
