People lined the streets of Appleton yesterday for two processions for Driver-Engineer Mitch Lundgaard.
Kathy Hanson was along the route to Appleton Alliance Church. She says it was touching to think he gave his life doing something he loves to do, and seeing his dedication to helping others.
Charles Schroeder was outside Fire Station No. 1 where Lundgaard worked. Schroeder works at Lawrence University, and the stations serves that campus. He says he also went to the same church as Lundgaard and, even though he didn’t know him personally, he wanted to show his respect.
People also gathered to watch the procession back to Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel after the funeral.
